I am so fucked. I have a paper due tomorrow and I still don't have the book I need (Democracy for the Few by Michael Parenti). I pre-ordered it from the college bookstore last week, thinking I'd just mosey on by this afternoon and pick it up. Apparently they are closed weekends in June and July. How is this possible considering I was there last

Yeah, especially when my professor's response to my concern about lacking the book was: "I hear all sorts of things, deaths in the family, domestic disputes, personal problems. I can't give you special treatment when you've had two weeks to obtain the book in another manner".

Gee, you're right, getting beaten repeatedly by my abusive, scumbag boyfriend for the 39082308th time is the same as my child dying unexpectedly for no god damn reason.
