Character: Sherry Marie Birkin
Fandom: Resident Evil
Personality: (Be detailed here. Anyone can provide links and all that. Explain to us what you see in the character and why they did what things. What are their quirks, modes of thinking, and reasons why they have done what they did in canon)
http://residentevil.wikia.com/wiki/Sherry_Birkin Sherry has always been curious and observant. As a child, she was a bit more vocal than she is now. Her intelligence has been nurtured since Albert Wesker took her in.
In the ten years Sherry has been 'imprisoned', she has shown her diligence and loyalty to the man that took her in. She has grown to be quite resourceful and respectful. The only times when Sherry has been defiant is when she has not gotten what she has wanted.
Her mind has been molded by Wesker to do whatever is necessary to survive and that science is the most important tool aside from her own instincts.
In the last four years, Sherry has become achieved great things in her education. With the intent focus on her studies, she has gotten a medical doctorate and now works in the labs of The Agency. Aside from science, Sherry loves to read and play the piano.
Her loyalty to Wesker is absolute. He is her "father-figure/friend" and she would do anything for him. Sherry also looks in on him every day - observing his activities, health, and state of mind. He is her protector and friend. And she would do exactly the same.
History (can be a link to website with a description of the history. Also, detail to use at what point of canon history you are taking them from):
http://residentevil.wikia.com/wiki/Sherry_Birkin From birth to twelve years old, Sherry Birkin was the daughter of William and Annette Birkin. Her parents were scientists for Umbrella. Their schedules lent little time with her. Yet she was not unhappy with them - taking what attention she could get from them. Her mannerisms were kind and happy like a 'normal' little girl.
Like her biological father, Sherry is very intelligent. Her interests were mainly for music and nature when she was a child. Her natural curiosity was focused by Wesker's guidance and discipline. He also gave her what she had been given little of and therefore craved - attention and conversation (her school day, piano lessons, nightmares, dreams, and observations).
Sherry is placated by schooling and any thing she asked for - she received (Pretty clothes, games, a piano, piano lessons, candy). Soon her sorrow over losing her biological parents, of seeing her mother die, faded into the background and she went on to be a little girl that is interested in both the aesthetic and the scientific.
After school and on weekends, Sherry would wander into Wesker's lab and office area to watch him work - many times sitting on his chair arm, edge of a table/desk, or in his lap. "What are you doing? What is that called?" Her curiosity was insatiable. Many times she would fall asleep in Wesker's lap or near him while he worked.
Her intelligence and high expectations can be a trying combination. Sherry went through spells of being too smart for her tutors. She would get bored and not do the work. "They are not teaching me correctly." Leaps in logic and ways of solving problems annoyed the tutors.
Soon, Sherry took interest in science - specifically medicine - in order to make Wesker happy. Her piano-playing improved, being her getaway when she hit walls in her studies. It relaxed and refocused her. With her isolated environment, Sherry studied and achieved her goal of a medical degree in four years (instead of the '7-year program'). The years of her unofficial internments (age 15-17) had prepared her well and she knew this would please Wesker.
During those years, Wesker trained Sherry how to defend herself - hand-to-hand and firearms. With every task he put in front of her, she strove to excel. The assistants assigned to her lab were just like her tutors - not smart or capable enough to her liking. At times, Sherry preferred to work with either Wesker or completely alone.
In the last few months, Sherry has become more and more interested in emergency medicine and also Wesker's research. If he had anything that he wanted done, she would do it for him. Sherry's loyalty to him knew no morals. If he wanted her to test something on someone (correct me, Dal, if I'm wrong here) or kill someone, Sherry would do it.
Deep down, she's incomplete. She only cares to live in the now - The Agency and Wesker. The boys that did find her attractive were not met with the same interest. Her skills at self-defense served her well when she proved that they would lose a hand or their life when they tried to take advantage of her.

Sherry was turning the corner towards her lab when she felt a sudden gust of freezing cold air.
Scowling, she hissed, "Who left the cooler open?!" Then her vision clouded and she lost her footing. The young doctor stumbled and caught herself against the side of a building.
Lying before Sherry was a street covered in snow. Twenty feet away was a fountain - the stone encased in ice. None of this looked familiar, but when did any town look familiar to her. The young woman had lived the last ten years of her life within an organization that kept her in closed quarters and high security.
Dressed in only flat soled leather boots, black trousers, dark blue dress shirt, and white lab coat, Sherry began to shiver. Her blond hair fluttered out of the pencil-impaled bun. Blinking her blue eyes, she took steps towards the fountain. It was so cold and there seemed to be no one around. There were no cars, no birds. Where was she?
Moving, Sherry felt something thumping dully against her right thigh. She looked down and saw a thin mass in her right coat pocket. The young woman reached inside and pulled out a palm-pilot sort of communication device. Smirking at the piece of technology, Sherry tapped the buttons. A little red light illuminated.
"Wesker...is this some sort of survival test? I really don't like this. I was about to start working on that pesky virus you always have in your lab. Did you know that I had taken all your research and studied it? You know I want to hear what you really think about it."
She stopped speaking and looked around. Wolves began to howl in the distance and then there were screams in the blustery wind.
Sherry began to speak again, lucky for her the recording had not timed out. "Do I have a target?"

Day 1 -
[voice]
Hello? Am I the only one in this town?
[private - viewable to Wesker]
I do not know much about this place. But I do know that the season is winter and less than five hundred people live in this dilapidated town. I do not know what my purpose is here. There is wildlife near, I heard wolves howling earlier. Does Wesker want me to do something here or has…has someone kidnapped me?
