So, we got up this morning to go to the gym about 9:00, and let Buttefly out as usual. When we came home about an hour later, she was dead in the yard. I'm not sure what happened, but it looked quick. Cory just finished burying her. Anyone who wouldl like to, please bring a stone to put in the cairn over her grave when you see us next. How am

Yeah, but she was SO much happier as an outside cat. I'm not a big fan of having designated outside animals, but in her case, better 5 years where she can go outside than 15 years as an inside-only cat.

And whatever killed her, she kicked its ass too.

Yeah, I didn't want to let her out at first, but she OBVIOUSLY wanted to go out. And when we let her out, instead of constantly ignoring us and being bitchy (like she was inside), she would run up to us and chirp and wind herself through our legs. Just a couple of days ago, djsendai pulled his car into the driveway, opened his door, and Butterfly jumped right into his lap, before he could even get out of the car.

I'm generally down on people who let their animals outside without realizing that they're going to die, violently, and well before their time. But I did realize it, and I'm beginning to accept the fact. It was just a shock at the time.

When I talked to Slavekeeper this morning I couldnt believer it ... it was such a shocker. I can image what it must be like loosing a pet; I lost two of them at once (over them fighting with each other). Wish that there was something I could do.
