getting the disc to go anywhere near the basket in a single shot takes some skill, but aces are 10% skill, 10% educated guess, and 80% luck and here's why: skill will give you the distance, an educated guess is judging the wind direction and speed and how hard to throw based on experience, and the rest is up to the laws of nature....discs hit chains and flop out all the time, or the wind catches the disc and raises it up or drops it down, trees wave in the breeze, squirrels, goblins, etc. that part is just dumb luck....skill and experience certainly increase your chances, but that only goes so far for a hole-in-one
