The city of Los Angeles is planning a parade to celebrate the Lakers' winning the NBA finals.

Even while eight officers were injured and one is still in the hospital recovering from injuries received when the city of Los Angeles rioted after the Lakers won the NBA finals.

There's something wrong with this equation.

my understanding is that the team and personal donations paid for the parade and ceremony at the coliseum. it didn't come out of LA's city budget. I might have heard that wrong since I'm barely awake in the morning when I watch the news but I do know that something relating to the victory party was privately funded and didn't come from the city funds at all.

and I agree, rioting over a WIN is absurd.
