i am enlightened enough not to think they are anything but a fun, rare event - and i think it would be good to realize my teeny place in the universe when the orbital patterns yank the sun out of my sky. but... if i was ever in a full-blown solar eclipse, i think there would be some creepy, latent superstitionalist butterflies in my stomach. even
