As for the woman in WalMart, if cheap and made in China is so bad, why is she even shopping there? WalMart is the king of cheap and made in China. *shakes head* And it disturbs me that she is so concerned about the feet of someone she does not even know. *g*

If they were half as good as members of The Cult of Crocs tell me they are, I'd probably be willing to deal with the ugly. Foot comfort means a lot to me. But, really, I can't feel the difference.
Sure, I should test them for longer than a few minutes at the store, but for 30 bucks, I'm not going to test them longer. If any high priest/priestess of the Cult of Crocs wishes to send me a free pair, I'll give them a more extensive check.
I think half of the hype is self induced. A few people noticed that the shoes were comfortable. They convinced others to buy them. People did and soon realized that these are the ugliest shoes in the world. But, they had to justify why they bought them, so it became, "Oooh, these are the best shoes ever for your feet!"

That said, I couldn't stop loling at the Crocs proselytizer. Don't tell me about what's good for my feet. Especially when they're fugalicious like Crocs. I'd rather walk barefoot.

I really think croc lovers are a cult. It seems that the people that like them, worship the goddamned things and get very angry if others don't share this belief.
