You're entitled to post whatever you want, and others are entitled to post whatever they want in return. This is why there are filters. You can post something as "friends-only" and then... All of these people you don't consider friends? Can't see your posts and can't comment. After that, if someone posts things you don't want to hear, the only person you have to blame is yourself. (Until you remove them from your friends list that is.)
