2010 Meme
Once again, I appear to have beaten verdika to this meme.
1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
- Filmed a live action fantasy video
- Fired a bow an arrow
- Sword fighting class
- Played Magic: The Gathering for the first time
- Went to the Cosplay Ball.
- Designed and created 3D models of various ships and space stations to use in my machinima work
- Wore a Doctor Who costume
- Made 6 films this year, beating my previous record. Slightly disapointed the really massive project I've been working on isn't going to be finished before the new year, but it's close!
- Had some professional quality DVDs produced of my work, Fifth Anniversary Edition of the Star Wars: Darkness Saga
- Met Summer Glau
- Met Ronald D Moore
- Even though I recorded the lines last year, I voice acted in someone elses movie and it was released this year
- Acquired a tribble
. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I resolved to make more movies this year than I did last year and I did! Now to do that again in 2011.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Two friends had children (not with each other)
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.
5. What countries did you visit?
America
6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
I'll have to think about that one.
7. What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
29th May - London Expo, dressed as The Doctor and accompanied by a Weeping Angel. Also met Esai Morales and Ronald D Moore.
3rd to 5th September - Dragon*Con, enough said really.
8th October - watching Doctor Who with my best friend for my birthday. It was the opening night and we sort of met Matt Smith
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
The project I've almost finished but won't quite have completed before 2011. Still, I put alot of work into it and I'm very proud of the results.
9. What was your biggest failure?
That's an ongoing situation, trying to figure out exactly what it is I did wrong
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Mass Effect 2 and my N7 Jacket
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My best friend
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
That will depend upon how question 9 is resolved

Travel

All three events in question 7 and Mass Effect 2.

I had been wanting to expand my interests, was fortunate enough to be introduced to new things.

It would have been good to finish my big project by the end of the year but no matter. Early 2011 works just as well.

Not to end badly.

March: The other day I was looking for photos from the Midlands Expo (see previous post) and found another one of me with Zombie Ariel.
April: It's been awhile since I posted anything. Still working on a big project but I don't want to talk about it just yet.
May: Earlier I discovered that someone has taken the source code to what was one of my favourite games (yes, even with the bugs) as a kid and they're in the process of updating it to run under windows.
June: I haven't even seen the game in action but Felicia Day's tweet about lightsaber combat on the Kinect (formally Project Natal) makes me want one.
July: As I posted back in April, this year marks the fifth anniversary of the Darkness Saga's first episode being released as a machinima project.
August: It's been awhile since I posted, so I thought I'd write a little bit about Moviestorm.
September: So, tomorrow morning I'll be heading off to the airport for the journey to Atlanta and Dragon*Con.

November: Half way through the month and I've not posted anything.
December: So this weekend, I went with a friend to the Grand Cosplay Ball in London.
