 With a well-sated sigh after a refreshing shower Eduard sat down at his computer for a moment to check a few things before he planned on wandering out to the living room to watch some television. He smoothed out his hair and efficiently cleaned his inboxes, noting with no shortage of satisfaction that the excess raid gear he'd put up for auction

Awkward silence reigned supreme in their bedroom at that moment. Gilbert had never in his life felt that much like a deer in the headlights. His chance at a good first impression with his boyfriend's parents had all but flown completely out the window. Eduard hadn't even come out to them yet and here they'd already seen him traipsing around their son's room naked. If ever there was a time to "bridgepinch" or "facepalm", it was right then

His parents sat back in silence, the words taking a few moments to set in. Eduard would have given up the entirety of his Star Wars collection at that moment to not have to be facing the situation he found himself in and to be able to tell just what was going through his parent's heads

Gilbert gulped and sighed. The world really seemed to be dead set on making him into the biggest sap he could possibly be and it was still a mountain of change to try and get used to. Sure, they'd gone out on dates, he'd finally said that "L" thing, and he'd even had a huge talk with Francis about it, but still...becoming a better person was difficult work especially after how far he'd gone down the wrong road. But this meant a lot to Eduard and he had to show him that he was willing to put himself out there for them. "Ja, I know I'm happy at least. I kind of wasn't the greatest person before and was a big troublemaker, but he gave me a reason to get my act together." "Pretty bad, Gil? I think half of europe knew who you were. Not to mention the entire island." Eduard got in the affectionate little dig, trying to suppress an outburst of laughter. Gilbert soon caught on and gave him a look and a gasped "hey!" which made left Eduard unable to restrain himself. Knowing that his parents were okay with them lifted such a burden from the blond's shoulders that he finally felt he could let his guard down and be as relaxed with Gilbert in front of his parents as he was when it was just the two of them. "Don't worry though, ema. There's nothing to worry about now." He turned back towards the screen, taking a few shaky breaths to calm himself
