Finally...an update
So, it has been many moons since mommy updated my journal and so much has happened.
On May 31st, I helped mommy show cousin Wendy what she would need for her baby. I didn't want to ride in the stroller, so I made mommy carry me and then proceeded to fall asleep. Then we went to Beyond Bread and I played with my toys and drank lots of water.
Grandma PJ came to visit on June 1st. I love Grammy! She brought me a lot of cool clothes from Baby Gap. She's so nice. She took me and mommy to Metro Grill. I tried to wave at afamily near us and they didn't wave back - what was with that? I'm cute, damnit and everyone should notice me!I ate a whole jar of oatmeal, banana, peach and then had some mashed potatoes and some cheesecake and then some YMM (yummy mommy milk). Then we went to Walmart and boy was it CROWDED. Mommy and I almost lost Grammy, but I piped up and so mommy slowed down till Grammy caught up with us. (Don't lose the Grammy!). Then I crashed at home. Poor brennabe, she had to wait for me and then I was asleep. She did, however, bring me a cool Smith College shirt for me to wear :) Thank you, brennabe.
The next day, I spent with Grammy. We had a great day. She taught me to stick out my tongue - it was fun. Then mommy put me in a new dress that Grammy bought and we took pictures. I was so good and smiley. I'm very photogenic if I do say so myself. Mommy has to shrink the pictures, but I'll put up my new ones as an icon soon. THere is one of me and a duck, me and a bear, me in a hat on a stool, and me with my red star, Them we went to Macayo's for dinner and I stole a chip from the bowl and took a large bite. Then I choked on it (oops -no teeth for chewing yet). After that, I really liked eating a tortilla and mommy's beans. Yummy.
Tuesday, I was with Grammy again. I slept A LOT! So I didn't want to go to bed later tha night - hee hee. I ate some of the diner mommy made - just the pasta and beans from the chili mac. That was good. I like spending time with mommy, daddy, and Grammy.
On Wed., it was back to school. Graham is on vacation, so it was just me and Matthew. Crystal, my teacher, always has lots of fun with us. I also got to be with her daughters for awhile. They're silly. I wore my Smith College shirt to school, but when I was drinking water, I drenched it and had to change into the only extra clothes Crystal had - a Penn State onesie :) Mommy thought that was funny.
Thursday was another good day at school. At night, we went out with cowboy_r to Frong and Firkin. cowboy_r helped me during dinner. I drank from a straw (ok, not the normal way one drinks from a straw). I was learning to suck and not spit the fluid out. I was able to spit the fluid across the table at one point - hee hee. I like french fries - mom let me have little bits of hers. I even tried an onion ring, and then choked on it. Oh well. I'll figure the food thing out eventually, along with the drinking thing.
Friday, school was good again. I really liked seeing how Matthew eats solid - grown up food. Crystal told mommy to bring pasta and other soft finger food to school so I can practice eating those foods, too. That night, grahamphx came over and we had pizza and watched Buffy.
Saturday, I slept till 9am and then I made mommy get up and play with me. She's funny in the mornings when I wake her up. I played with my toys and annoyed daddy as mommy worked on cousin Wendy's baby shower invitations. Then we took daddy to his classmate's house to do school work. Mommy and I went to Walmart and did some shopping. I only liked sitting in the cart for so long before I want to be held. Everyone noticed how cute I was - YAY! Then we went to get daddy and get his hair cut. I practiced walking and standing while he got his trim. I'm getting better every day.
Sunday was games and I helped mommy and matterntm go shopping while daddy cleaned the house. I just hung out with mommy, daddy, and daddy's friends. It was so much fun that I didn't want to go to sleep even though I was exhausted. I drenched myself and brennabe with water. I can't help it. I get so excited when I drink from a cup! I'm such a big girl. I finally fell asleep around 11, but daddy woke my up when he came to bed because he moved me. I was so upset, I didn't go back to sleep til 1AM! Mommy was NOT happy at all.
Monday was back to school. I went on a buggy trip and had no problems. I'm even getting over most of my stranger/separtaion anxiety. Mostly - sometimes I still want only mommy. I keep working on standing, walking, and crawling. Mommy brought pasta for me and I really like having it with my carrots and cereal. I even picked up a few pieces on my own and fed myself. I also had a Zweibek toast at breakfast when Matthew ate his. That was nice. We had to take daddy to his classmates' again, so I hung out with mommy and ate bits of a cheese quesdilla, had tastes of a peanut butter sandwich, and chomped on a banana. When daddy came home, mommy made meatloaf and I had some of their mashed potatoes. I didn't want to go to sleep again. I've been taking two hour-long naps each day at school because its so quiet there now. I just want to play with mommy and daddy.
Tuesday I crawled at school! It's not complete crawling, but almost. I can inch my way over by getting in position on my hands and knees and then flopping forward a bit. Soon I'll be a crawling menace...and then walking! Whoo hoo - look out world! I went outside again, with no problems. I even petted a goat. I ate a banana and pasta again. I like these textured foods. When we went to pick up daddy from work, one of the agents tried to make me laugh. He tried too hard and only got a smile. He was in my face tooo much! Another agent said that she is putting in her request now to come back as my mommy's baby. She said I looked so happy and healthy! I finally went to bed early for once - mommy was really thankful.
Mommy will have to fill you in tonight or tomorrow on how my eye doctor visit went.
