Though on the up side, it will eventually be done! I actually figured out almost all those damn bits that were giving me so much damn trouble! The Pattern and instructions were fucked up beyond belief, cursing the creators of McCall's patterns

I can never understand ANY of the damn patterns.
sometimes I can do better if I just look at their pictures- but the way they explain things is unfathomable.

Yahhh... Looking at JUST the pictures was kind of wrong as well. What eventually 'did it' for me was examining a pair of jeans in close detail. XD I looked them over carefully and 'deconstructed' them in my head.

But yah, this pattern was actually just plain wrong. >.< I would call or write to McCall if I thought they gave a damn... But I doubt they'd care. So... *shrug* WTF ever, I'll figure it out and modify it until it works. *nod*

Though on the up-side... Now that I know I can sew, when I eventually finish this one, I am already plotting other ones. XD It's silly as hell, I don't HAVE any LARP games, and I don't go to conventions any more, so there's no reason for it... I still want them though. XD

You should check out shaglarp. They run monthly one shot LARPS.
Would give you an excuse to make it into the big city on occasion. ;)

Heh, I still get a kick out of wearing costumes! XD Just... I tend to suffer from that whole "All dressed up and nowhere to go" issue. >.o lol!

Heh, and yah, perhaps... Though... Well...

... Honestly I don't know if I'm much welcome in that group anymore... :/ I've tried to email a few people and I never once have gotten a reply... So I eventually just stopped trying to email people.
Then again, for all I know, perhaps most of those email addresses are old and no longer in use? (Though I know Mike Burkes still uses his, it's where the Halloween invite email came from anyway...)

But aside from that, and of course re-collecting LARP and costuming junk... *siiiiigh*

That's one of the few things I occasionally look back at wistfully. I used to have SUCH a wonderfull collection of costumes and LARP gear... But now... It's all gone. All of it.

Thankfully I don't really go to SCA events anymore, because I have like... A tunic and two pairs of pants, and that's it. >.o Wince worthy.... Definitely.
