I'm sure there's easier excuses for going to the pub with your mates.

Pub quizzes. You can do them for good causes, and they happen in the pub so not only are they pleasingly sedentary, you don't even have to move to get to the pub afterwards!

(Congratulations on running all that way. I could not do such a thing.)
