I am reading but not commenting much. I think part of the problem is the nature of the devices a lot of us are using now, which are generally better for reading than writing.

I do LJ, though, and it has been remarkably beneficial for me in various ways.

I've definitely found a difference now I have a smartphone. When all online stuff happened on a device with a proper keyboard (either desktop or notebook) I commented a lot more. Being able to read stuff on the phone without leaving the settee has made me get somewhat lax. I've lost count of the number of times I've thought "must comment properly when I get to the computer" and then done nothing.

Oh, and I do love reading your LJ posts. Yours are definitely high up the mental "must comment on this one later" list!

My internal monologue is like a Radio 4 afternoon play crossed with a LJ post. It's probably as well most of it doesn't get written up.

I try to post at least weekly, though I don't always succeed. I don't comment much, largely because I often don't have anything much to say beyond non-remarks like "cool", "shame", "lol", etc.

You should write us a post about your cats. With illustrations. :-)
