“The ceremony will be in the gardens, of course we can move it inside to the ballroom in case of rain,” Bruce said as he looked his notes. He and Tim were having lunch with Roy and Ollie. After Roy and Tim had announced their engagement Bruce and Ollie had insisted they have a sit down to plan out the event. At the moment Roy though a quick visit to Vegas was sounding pretty good.
“What makes you think it's going to be here?” Ollie asked as he some what gently slammed his tea cup down.
“This is Tim's home, of course we'd have it here,” Bruce said mildly, as if explaining the obvious.
“Well Star City is Roy's home, I say we have it there,” Ollie said crossing his arms.
“Roy hasn't properly lived in Star City since he was a boy. Truthfully in the last six months Roy's been living here in Gotham more than anything else,” Bruce said as he eyed Roy for a moment as if accusing him of something and made him slump down a little.
Ollie muttered a little under his breath. “Fine. I'll take care of the flowers then. I'll ship them in fresh.”
“Nonsense, we have award winning florist right here in Gotham. Now for the music I was thinking the Gotham Philharmonics . . .” Bruce said as he took a bite of his salad.
“Why you pompous egotistical jackass,” Ollie snarled as he stabbed a finger toward Bruce, “You are not going to just take over. I say the flowers are coming from Star City and the Philharmonics? You're kidding me right? Clark had funner stuff when he got hitched.”
Bruce paused in his eating and sighed. “Ollie for once will you think of the boys and not your ego. I want to give them a special day that they will cherish.”
“And you think I don't?”
“Enough!” Tim snapped standing up, placing his hands on the table. “You're right Bruce this is Roy and I's day. Our day. So we actually have a say in what goes on. And first thing is we're having it at the Reservation.”
With that Tim turned around and left the room. For a moment Roy look back and forth form Bruce and Ollie and the retreating Tim and then slowly got up, “I'll just . . you know make sure he doesn't punch something .”
Roy found Tim slumped against the wall. “Some voice of reason I was.”
Roy chuckled softly as he pulled Tim into a hug. “Oh I don't know. I think you got our point across nicely.”
“Is Vegas still an option?” Tim asked.
“You said it would make Dick cry if we did that. Besides it wouldn't change the fact that Bruce would be my father-in-law and Ollie will be yours.”
“Holidays are going to be so much fun,” Tim moaned.
“Oh and just wait till we throw in the fun of all of our brothers and sisters-in-laws. It's going to be a riot,”
“One great big happy family right?” Tim asked.
Roy chuckled as he tipped Tim's head up and kissed him softly and cupped his cheek. “ Can't think of a better one.”
