I just adore this story so, so much. Tim and Roy really came off in character in these parts. Tim's bewilderment and protectiveness really made sense with the context you gave it. And Roy's intrinsic parental concern was perfect. He was still detached, as he would be not knowing what was happening, but also still cared for this small, innocent being.

I'm glad you lumped these two parts together in one post. It really worked for the pacing, and left it with a great cliffhanger ending!
