It is pretty tempting to get wrapped up in the presidential politics going on, to start weighing the pros and cons of each candidate, to start pretending that my vote would actually change the outcome of anything that washington decides to foist upon us ( Read more... )

So you don't think there would be any sort of differences whatsoever in our country if, say, Gore had been elected?

I'm not saying Obama's a revolution, but there are differences. As many as you or I would actually like? Not a chance, but I'd rather start heading in another direction because apparently the one we've been led down has kinda fucked us.

Yeah, we might not have invaded Iraq to avenge a wronged Daddy-O former pres....

Then again, we might have all been reduced to living in grass huts in an attempt to keep the sky from falling as part of a "War on Global Warming" had Gore gotten in....

each party takes a different approach, but both are using fear of each other's plan to make sure freedoms are eroded for everybody.

I hope they hand out red or blue pills with the kool-aide they have poisoned.
