you live HOW close to Alaska and have missed it????????
and there's a myriad of nice new england states & attractions neil & i have seen/driven by that you GOTTA see!

and what's w/ missing that entire honking huge state in the middle of the mountain states? ;)

Vancouver is about as close to Alaska as you are to New York City...

That huge honkin' state is Utah... They have salt flats. And Mormons. And not much else. =)

NYC is a 12-14hr drive, depending on the way a person takes thru MA to CT (hopefully avoiding Boston traffic) AND how bad the I95 is in the southern portion of ME.

and i thought that was UT, glad to know i'm only sorta geographically challenged ;)

Then maybe it is more like Virginia far away... It takes (I think) about 20 hours to get to the border of Alaska (not at the panhandle part, up north), and then several hours more to get to something interesting...

In grade 9 we had to be able to write in the name of all the states and provinces on a blank map. I can't do that anymore =)
