blast from the past

I just found an old old old notebook full of notes and writing from when I was going to the U of A... and good lord is it embarrassing!  Some of the poetry I remember and I'm actually still all right with, but there was some that I'd completely forgotten about, and with good reason.  The worst is this page of stream of consciousness garbage that

I have a journal like that.. maybe two. It's so awkward going back and reading them. It's like looking back into the mind of a different version of yourself. One that is just embarrassing more than anything.

I've definitely been tempted to destroy these journals, but after thinking about it, later in life I'd really like to go back and see that person just so I get a sense of how much has changed.

Yeah, I've got a journal on my hard drive that I kept from 01 up until just about two or three years ago that I plan on keeping, I like looking back on that once in a while. This once was mostly school notes and creative writing and it's just really eerie, because I barely even remember how I was back then.

But I think you changed my mind, I think I will hang on to this and bury it back in my closet again.
