Where does the name, Ani come from or what do you associate it with? Or is it just a different version of Annie?
The only thing I know about Ani is that it is now a ghost city, uninhabited for over three centuries and located inside a Turkish military zone. I don't think you can go there now since the Turks have been having problems with the Kurds in that part of the country. It's a fantastic site but sadly there has been much vandalism from current locals and damage from earthquakes. A thousand years ago Ani was the capital of an Armenian kingdom that covered much of present day Armenia and eastern Turkey. Ani had a population of at least 100,000 and it was known as the "City of 1001 Churches".
*face palm* I'll get out of my ivory tower now and stop looking for the forest among the trees.
Oh dear! I'm sorry about that. You certainly know you're dealing with a Star Wars Illiterate, now, don't you? My total inability to see the bleeding obvious knows no bounds it seems. I hope you found my complete and utter idiocy amusing as I did.
I shall slink away now in total embarrassment. It hit me as I was grocery shopping in fact. The name resonated with me so that I was thinking about it and then in my mind's eye your icon flashed and I laughed out loud when I realised the connection. The other shoppers looked at me a little funny!
But didn't Anikin turn evil? How can you call a cute little ball of orange fluff like that after Darth Vader.
Yeah, he went evil. That's what the last movie is about. If you would watch them you'd see that he had reasons why he went bad. Not that I'm saying Darth Vader is all innocent and all. But yeah, there are good reasons why he went bad. He was a victim of circumstance like everyone else.

No big surprise for the name. I'm surprised you didn't come up with that immediately.
OK, I was just checking in...gotta go back over there, we just got started.
