Word. I have work obviously but I should be able to make it on the weekends. I'll bring tools! And not as much knowledge of my father... but not as much aggravation too! :D

Same. We will be up this weekend, and then not the one after that, but the week AFTER the one after that (heh heh the week of the 21st-27th) we have vacation. If you'd like us to pop up during the week, I'm sure Gill would be ecstatic.
I have tools. And the "fixin' words" my Dad taught me (%#@%&*#@^& and the like). And Justin for heavy lifting. :-D And a basic understanding of plumbing (I installed a dishwasher once!), electrical work, and sheetrocking/painting/easy stuff.

You guys are super heroes. I've dreaded the kitchen upgrade since we moved in and can't fathom doing it and still having a fuctional family. And after the bathroom, I would be so eager to jump in again. I'm very impressed.

Don't be too impressed. Bathrooms are easier if you happen to have two, which we do. The kids will be visiting Nana and Papa for a few days during the kitchen project so we really aren't being quite as adventurous as you might think. There will be lots of grilling, bagged salads and pizza consumed that week. We can always fill the coffee maker from the bathroom sink. Really, meat and coffee, what else do you really need?

Not that I am an expert or anything, but I am happy to pretend to be one for my friends. Translation- I'll talk about the hell week all you want, maybe you can avoid some of the pitfalls we will inevitably find ourselves in.
