SO I'd been meaning to tell you that Jared, the two year old, falls down a lot and on more than one occasion he's banged up his face pretty good. Last year he hit a table edge with his cheek bone and it turned all around his eye and cheek black and blue. Laura has become somewhat aware of the way people look at her when he's all black and blue and it kinda bother's her. Now, I could be sympathetic, right, but what do I do? You'll love this:
While we were out at a fast food place, I've got Jared in my arms and Laura quietly says, "so now you know how I feel."
"What? Are people glaring at me?" "Yeah." She says in a hushed tone.
So I respond loud enough for most of the people in the area to hear, "Well if anyone says anything to you, just tell them, next he'll listen."
Laura was not happy with me. I thought it was funny.

Yeah, how DO we get through this without PTSD? I mean, anymore PTSD than we already have.
