Went for his first follow-up today, he did really well. They took some Xrays and said he is healing very well. The pins stay in till his next appointment on the 19th. They put him in a hard cast and he goes back to school tomorrow and no longer has to wear the sling. He doesn't have any tingling or loss of sensation in his hand so the doctors

(Momentary interlude about guns: My aunt has some very cool 10-12,000 year old river stones that she kindly shared with us. Each kid got to pick one. Most of them are round, but a couple of them were L-shaped. Of course they wanted the gun-shaped ones. They were not impressed by the age or the geological significance. Only the gun shape. Sheesh.)
That said, THANK YOU for the update! It sounds very good. They always have to tell you 'this might happen, or this might happen..." to cover their butts, but it sounds like things are healing excellently. I'm glad he can go back to school and relieved that there are no signs of nerve damage. Keep us posted if there is more to tell.

Get the pins before they throw them out, you can't be too careful with DNA these days. A good kid like that, they'd clone in a second.

Although a range weapon is never a bad idea, now he has a super secret hold out weapon. It's perfect, he can get it through metal detectors and everything. Almost better than a metal plate in your head.
Can you imagine a bunch of Christophers running around? The world would never be the same. But oh the cuteness! I have visions of Calvin and his duplicator machine.
