Walking back to the parking lot, I spotted a van with two bumper stickers: "Love your kids, kill your TV." and, "Video games are a drug*sad face*"  At first sight, I kind of got angry, trying to imagine an extremist trying to convey nitwits to his/her cause, but with a second evaluation, I realize there can be a milder tone behind it as in, "

I never claimed it was always the parents' fault. I was a borderline screw-up too, and it was certainly not a fault of my parents, but too often have I seen through my family and friends that there are parents that simply are too lazy to parent and cause major problems for the child down the road.

You know what, this is reason 8,000 why I will never, ever have kids. I don't know how you figure out where the blame lies for a messed up child. I've seen totally screwed up kids that have amazing parents, and crappy parents that have amazing kids and every other combination. There's so many different theories on the subject.
What do you think about the "you always turn into your parents" thing? I think I'm turning into my dad.
