If your friends ridicule you for your choices and beliefs, then they're not really worth having. Finding people who aren't assholes is hard, but you're bound to find some if you keep looking. I'm glad you came out and said you were gay. It's a step toward actually doing it in real life. If people are fickle enough to have a problem with who you are, they can go rot. Feel better, okay?

Thanks, and oh how I do agree. Perhaps this is what my life lacks at the moment? The necessity of being open about myself as much as possible? I'm usually a quiet guy and don't speak my mind, but as of late I've been doing it more so.

Awwwww, why thanks. Indeed, I just have to learn my place and deal with it I guess. But of course, once I'm officially "out" I'm really hoping thinks turn out better as far as my innter thoughts go. I understand that my relations with others might go down, but as long as I feel better about being myself and not something else. I can be happy.
