Job Openings!

May 16, 2008 10:25

We need a Sales Rep who's whiz-bang at Business Development.
  • Must be able and willing to travel.
  • Must deal well and easily with Real Estate Brokers, Property Management Companies, Financial Institutions and other "Big Companies".
  • Must be able to work with and as part of the Business Development staff.
  • Should be able to swiftly get familiar with 3 web-based software offerings, as well as all the related needs of the above folks.
  • Talent with marketing and/or advertising (esp. in a web-aware world) is a plus!

We need a Project Manager for oversight of our software release (patch/enhancement) scheduling.
  • Must love logistics, scheduling, prioritization and be VERY familiar with the SDLC.
  • Must be willing to be "just a cog", but still have "a finger in every pie".
  • Must be able to herd a small-but-growing team of developers, testers, business analysts and client relations managers with tact.
  • Must be able to link the business needs (from the business managers) with what the clients want (per the CRMs) with what the developers can do, and not forget that it all has to be tested by the testers, too. We release patches every two weeks for 3 different products and about 8 clients.
  • Should be familiar with multiple project management applications, since we are going to acquire an undetermined new application soon (currently using Scarab).
  • (Note: this is a schedule-manager, not a people-manager.)

We still need a Java Developer for our web-based apps that work with an SQL db.
  • Must have at least 2 years of on-the-job/proven experience with Java. SQL a plus (and strongly recommended). HTML also useful.
  • Must be INTIMATELY familiar with the SDLC.
  • Must be able to integrate into an existing family of developers from around the globe (no outsourcing or H1B, just a diverse in-house team).
  • Must be able to handle the stresses of an agressive project schedule (patch releases every 2 weeks).

We are an 8-yr-old software company of about 20 friendly people, at the moment. We're located in Addison, TX. We need experience, tolerance and effectiveness. If you've got that, I need your resume.

(Unfortunately, since I also work here, I don't know the pay-range for any of these positions, but everyone here seems to be happy with their salaries. Although we have some turnover, I haven't seen any due to job-dissatisfaction since I started in Sept.)
