Gave my 2 weeks' notice last Friday. Assuming I am free and clear of work responsibilities by next weekend, I feel another of my unforgettable motorcycle adventure road trips is in order, this time through the gorgeous foliage of New England in the Fall. Yeah, you know how I do ( Read more... )

Yes! I will need to figure out where you'll be able to park, but if all else fails, I do have a parking coupon to Northeastern, and you could always use their garage.

Just woke up. I remember dreaming, clear as day, about riding into Brookline. Hmm..

Do they ticket/tow? Motorcycles are very, very easy to find parking for, so the only issue is regulation. If you can stand comfortably between two parked cars, that's probably enough space for me.

I'll bring a second helmet. ;]

There's no overnight parking in Brookline, except for a couple of spots that you can pay for the night. I'll see if Brighton or Allston will let you.

tell them anyone who lets me use a spot gets 2 pairs of prism glasses. (they're paper and easy to break, but you see rainbows when you look through them)

Sounds amazing. I wish I had the willpower and financial security to do something like this. Unfortunately, I have neither (for now, anyways.)

Both the CoSM and the HTD look fascinating. I've always been interested in things like lucid dreaming and alternate realities, both of which are backed up by science so they're really not all that "new agey."

I also really like the idea of a "libertarian commune." Man I wish I could live with some other libertarians and avoid all this other bullshit out there.

Oh, and Magic Hat. Must try Magic Hat.

Financially, if you couchsurf, it's really not that expensive to travel (motorcycling doesn't hurt either) -- just transport and food, really. Willpower.. that one, you have to figure out. ;]

There are other LBTs wherever you are, I promise you. Just look for them: go where they go (party meetups?), put up flags (t-shirts at coffeeshops?), or, as I once did, form organizations that attract them and meet them that way.

Def must try Magic Hat.

I really do want a motorcycle (and the corresponding license), that is simply a matter of time, money, and getting some family members who disagree with that idea out of the way. (And by "out of the way" I mean "move the fuck out.")

I'll look for more libertarians on meetup, especially if I happen to go out to California to get that film internship/job that I want.
