Poll For those planning to be at the gathering I've arranged over the weekend....
I'm afraid my planned gathering on 26th July will no longer be happening. I'm sorry to all of you who were promised readthroughs and ice-cream on that day - if anyone who's around wants to arrange something, I'll happily donate Hitchhiker's Guide scripts for the occasion. And in penance for my sins, I shall try to arrange something for when I'm ( Read more... )

Dammit, I never looked under the bed.

You may want to, given that you have the spare keys - there's a red box full of interesting stuff right back under the bed in the other bedroom. Just worth checking in case it's not actually full of Ida scores.

Also, Terry Pratchett readthrough! I voted for Maskerade, but count it in favour of whichever Terry Pratchett most people are fond of.

And yay for seeing sense on the matter of Edinburgh!

Remind me to tease you at length that the box hidden under your bed is full of *scores*. I mean, sometimes you are simply the most innocent person alive.

Does the plan to go punting in the morning mean there will be no sitting up till dawn playing pedantic versions of 'I have never' and games of increasingly inArticulate? 'Cos I was kind of looking forward to that...

As someone who is interested in both ends of the night, I am concerned by this also. How early do we need to get to Hilda's? A noonish start is more likely to happen than a morning one. (At some point I also need to get to a church, but may do that on either Saturday or Sunday evening.)

Well... I was rather hoping people could do both. I know it's optimistic to expect people to get up and be ready for punting at 10-11ish, but if I state that time, people may actually be ready at midday rather than mid-afternoon. Which would be useful from my point of view, as I'm supposed to be rehearsing from 2....

Excellent - we'll tell thalassius 10am and that way we'll be there by midday. Unless he reads this comment and figures out our cunning deception. Doh!

(I think 11.30 would be a good realistic time to aim for - waking at 10-10.30, starting the walk down at 11.)
