Oops - I haven't made very good with my promise to be more Internet-active on arriving home. Sorry.

I've been spectacularly sleepy. The journey home on Sunday meant exerting myself more than I can maintain at present, and every little activity tires me out more than it ought to. As I'm now able to get comfortable enough to go to sleep, my body has ( Read more... )

See? Jewish mother KNEW there was a problem. She just didn't realise you had a crash team to hand...

Yes - I just hope that they're right and everything *is* all right. I still look a real mess down there. I suppose I ought to have more faith in my body's ability to heal itself :)

I'm sure you have enough brain, youthful healthiness, common sense and support not to get into difficulties, but I hope, hope, hope everything will be alright.

It would be very joyous to see you, yes! I might even be up to doing dinner of some description. When would be a good day for you both?

Yay - I ought to be able to do either of those days. Will check with Joff too. Is pasta likely to be OK with you for dinner?

Are you adequately supplied with food and other essentials, or do you need someone to go shopping for you? Let me know.

Hey hun,

thank you for offering - food is probably OK for now, although I could probably do with more paracetamol fairly soon. I've enough to last me another few days, and I do have other painkillers as well, but if you get chance to pop into a chemist anytime soon, this would be muchly appreciated, thank you :)

*hugs*

Eek! I hope me and Ed didn't strain you too much on Sunday. Anselm has stew for you as soon as you are up to receiving visitors.

Not at all - don't worry sweetie, and it was very lovely to see you. The journey home, on the other hand, was a very unpleasant experience, and I think I might even know exactly which bend in the road pulled my stitches loose.

Ooh, stew! I shall look forward to it :)

Yes, you can expect to be tired! Surgery is, in biological terms, equivalent to being seriously beaten-up, an exhausting experience in and of itself, followed by a continuous metabolic effort to replace lost blood and build new tissues.
