asked another friend of mine who teaches EFL down in Brighton, he says that TEFL is more recognised in Japan ^^ will ask my other friend when I talk to him to see if he thinks the same!
I meant I'll be near Hammersmith on Tuesday :) doubtful I'll be going abroad in the forseeable future, but I'll see!
Grants of £1,000-£5,000 are available to individuals, societies, associations or other bodies in the UK or Japan to promote and support interaction between the two countries.
Ugh, poor you - *hugs*... I'll tell you all about my own experiences with it (well, as long as I can talk when we next meet!); hope you can get your surgery too...
Thanks hun; and (to compensate a little for my silence on your own journal), I've been reading about your experiences with interest, and hope all continues to go well :)

Whereabouts did you say you'll be, btw? I'm still not decided on exact Geography, but Okinawa looks like it might be ideal for me...

(I also may actually be going to watch Sweeney Todd this evening now. Debatable whether you really needed to know that, I suppose...)
