Why wetsuits? I've been to Florida...the water is like 2000 degrees. Jellyfish protection?

The water was 72 degrees there at the spring year round. it sounds warm, but trust me, its not. There were a few guys who were skin diving in the area, but that was three out of about 20 people. That initial shock of hitting the water was pretty breath taking for me :P
