3 oz. Gin
1 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Lillet Blanc
1 large strip of lemon peel
Shake the liquid ingredients over ice (or freeze them and shake them in a glass), then pour into a cocktail glass and add the lemon peel.
On first sip, it was a bit overpowering. But after a couple more sips, I really warmed to it. The gin and the lillet are both very flavorful in that dry sort of herbal way, and combined to make a drink with a lot of depth. The vodka moderates the mixture into a classy concoction that makes you feel like a million bucks as you drink it. A definite keeper.
