I disappear

I had a weird daydream this morning. It was just after I had opened my eyes and I don’t think I was fully awake yet. It scared me. It also gave me an idea for a story (though the concept has been done before so I don’t know if I will attempt it.)

Basically I woke up and everyone else in the entire world had disappeared. Gone. I find myself

I've thought briefly about that, too--being able to walk the wrong way down the middle of a highway because there's no one else in the world. It might be surreal for a while, but soon it would become terrifying. Good idea about reaching a radio station. If you do write a story about it, I would be happy (and present!) to read it.

As for survival, I think people do whatever it takes, just like any other animal. Being civil is a luxury for those who know where their next meal will come from. I think that's why war follows famine just as well as the other way around. Yeesh, that is an unpleasant thought.

ON the topic of post apocalyptic settings. You should check out my favorite book, "Lucifer's Hammer." It's about a comet hitting the earth in the 70's. Pretty bitchin'.
