Last night after midnight, we got a phone call from a "restricted number" and it was some really creepy guy, who sounded like he was in his 40s. I picked up the phone even though it was Jaron's cell, because I was closest to it. Mysterious and creepy phone calls are always interesting. You're probably right about him drunkenly trying to call his ex-girlfriend, though. I wouldn't worry too much about it, because it seems like incidents like that are--for the most part--isolated. I've had my share of creepy phone calls, and I don't think I've ever had a repeat offender.

At least four times in the last two years I had a "heavy breathing" phone call from someone and when I hung up and looked up the number online it was from a payphone in a Dixon bar! So likely a high school stalker or just very bad luck on my part.

I stand corrected about incidents like these being isolated, without repeat offenders. :)
