I applied for the academic job! I submitted both application forms on Sunday; because it's a national process, every deanery makes offers on the same day, which this year is 14th September. Which seems a little silly in my deanery's case - they don't interview, and it can't really take them three months to read four 200-word answers per candidate,

I'm wondering whether to stop myself, it might have affected me in weird ways and I wouldn't even know because I've been on it forever.
