How things look....

Is small white text on a black background too hard to read? I'm getting used to it, but....not as fast as I thought.

I have the style options in place so that all I see is my background or the default LJ post page. Your text could be lime green on red for all I know.

However, I can read white on black just fine. Not sure if I'd like to read something long on it, but that would probably depend on the quality of what I was reading more than anything.

I would like to beat everyone who uses small white text on a black background with a fork. Also the ones who use pale gray on white but that's a different rant. That's why I've set my friends page to MY default style. SO if I follow a link I can actually read the link.

Actually... my eyes are super light-sensitive and I usually read in reverse video so that EVERYTHING is white on a black background. Except for people who set their colors to white-on-black which reverses to black-on-white and is then too bright for me.

But I'm weird.

I'm one of the people whose eyes complain If I try to read anything but a short entry with white on Black background. I know someone from my Flist actually changed from such a layout, and said her readership then doubled, no one was actually complaining but... shrugs they weren't reading her page either. Good luck with whatever you choose. -SB

I've found the longer I'm on the computer, the more I prefer dark backgrounds(doesn't have to be black) to light. Or a shaded light background, rather than glaring white. Small texts I have to enlarge, though.
