Harry Potter
Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they've ignored important parts of the book?lol, all of them? I think the worst is probably Prisoner of Azkaban though. It's great as a film - it's entertaining, and it had that dark magical side that I personally thought the first two were lacking somewhat. ( Read more... )

I like the films, but ah, they annoy me sometimes.
Yeah, there are a couple of secondary characters I haven't mentioned that kind of annoy me too ngl.

WHY IS HE REDUCED TO GOOFY SIDE-KICK ALL THE TIME, AND WHY IS THE AWESOME HARRY/RON BROMANCE NOT AS AWESOME AS IT SHOULD BE?

YES. THIS IS MY PROBLEM WITH ALL SIX MOVIES SUMMED UP CONCISELY. I get frustrated by the things they leave out too, but even if you disagree with their choices you have to acknowledge that some things must be cut. But why cheapen one of the three central characters by demoting him to comic relief? I just can't bear it.

RIGHT? They have such a great bromance in the books, why leave that out? Ron is my favourite, I hate what the movies did to him. But yeah, I realise there's elements of the books that had to be cut for time restraints though.

HIGH FIVE because you aren't totally butthurt over Hermione's hair in the later movies. I am bothered to no end by people who are like OMG HERMIONE WOULD NEVER WORRY ABOUT HER HAIR, ALL SHE DOES IS READ, implying that smart girls are doomed to be fashion disastas. Hermione clearly isn't a fashionista, but I feel like we've seen enough of her distinctly girly side to assume that she knows her way around a hairbrush.

This subject clearly gives me feelings, idk, Hermione is just a bamf and I love her.

Also, while I enjoy Ron in the movies because he looks like my Ron (kinda) (actually, jk, my Ron looks like Ron Stoppable from Kim Possible, only ginger), and he brings the goofy Ron-humor, but he doesn't have any of the other Ronnish characteristics, idkidkidk

YES. How Emma Watson's Hermione looks is pretty much how imagined Hermione anyway, tbh. (Or it was after I watched the first film, idk) But it annoys me too when people start implying Emma is too pretty for the role. :/

I love her too! ♥

omg lol brilliant. Ginger Ron Stoppable = Ron Weasley = MY MIND BLOWN.

idk, I have a lot of feelings about Ron, because he's pretty much my favourite, and he seems different in the movies a lot of the time.

I totally agree with everything you've said here, especially about Harry and Ron's friendship. They definitely don't seem as close as they should in the movies.
And the fact that Harry's eyes are blue annoys me SO MUCH! They could've got contacts or something...

I love Ron and Harry's friendship in the books. But it's not really there in the movies.
