29: [Audio] Counting Bodies Like Sheep

All work and no play makes Dean a dull boy.

He types because he can. Not to send, just...to type. Dean isn't sure when it really started. Maybe when he woke up. Maybe it was always there. Maybe it's just cabin fever, the stress of being stuck in one place for too long. Being trapped. Trapped. Trapped.

All work and no play makes Dean a ( Read more... )

From the sounds of it, sticking together is the last thing we should do.

So what, wander around alone and vulnerable? Yeah, great idea. You don't ever see things turnin' out good for Mystery Inc. when Scooby, Shaggy and Velma break apart from Fred and Daphne.

[Even though Fred and Daphne were totally doing it.]

Well, don't wander then. We should all just hang out in our rooms until it's over. Then nobody gets hurt.

What if some crazy bastard comes into your room?

[like him like him like him]

[Despite all of his earlier teenage skepticism, Kurt knows that Dean is probably the best person to go to for advice when something weird is going on. And this ugly warehouse-chic makeover certainly counts as something strange and unsettling.]

I'm here. I'm here, and I'm fine for now, but what's going on? I keep hearing about some weird game called Rabbit Doubt...I'm all for murder mystery dinners, but this is just insane!

[Murder mystery dinners should be reserved for non-lethal theme parties only! Otherwise it's just terrifying and illegal and mentally scarring.]

...Do you think it's something supernatural, like the things you hunt in your world?

[He feels so weird even asking, but this event is definitely creeping him out so far and nothing's even happened yet.]

[Kurt? Kurt. How sweet, the kid who's gayer than a tree full of monkeys on Nitrous Oxide is calling him. Are his screams as high-pitched as his voice? Probably higher. It's a goal to strive for.

And Dean's got a quota to meet.]

No idea. Haven't seen anyone weird yet, but I haven't seen any bodies, either.

[#liar]

I feel like we all need to stick together if we're gonna weed out who's who, right? Are you safe?

Nothing's happened to me yet, if that's what you mean. I doubt anyone's really safe at the moment.

[Wow, there's both snark and truth in that statement! But Kurt can recognize that now is probably not the time.]

...But, there's probably safety in numbers. And I doubt just throwing a punch would stop any of the wolves.

[He chuckles a little awkwardly, but he still sounds terribly spooked about all of this. He knows he's not that strong, and that he has "kill me" written all over him during events like these. That salt circle thing seemed easy enough, but Kurt wasn't about to go and spill salt all over his floor unless he was sure it would help. That would just be a nightmare to clean up.

Either way though, he's probably going to die if he doesn't team up with someone.]

[Dean laughs quietly, rubbing the back of his head. Kurt, Kurt, Kurt. Never going to learn, is he? He's far too vulnerable. Breakable. And small.]

Safety in numbers is definitely the way to go. I've been seein' who I can get together to keep people alive - I know there haven't been a whole lotta threats yet, but I don't wanna take any chances.

[Concerned, older-brotherly tone of voice?]

You want me to come get you? Few trustworthy people I know are helping to set up a base in the dining hall.

[The decor's a little lacking right now, though, ever since he hacked into Philip's arm with an ax in there. But the red looks nice.]

This place is pretty crazy, huh? You think it'll get dangerous?

dashboardlite October 29 2011, 04:58:02 UTC
Really dangerous, really fast. Kid, I don't even wanna think about what could probably be out there.

[But it's just me~]

You're probably right that we should all try and stick together. We could probably find a safe room to use as a home base.

I've got the dining hall set up if you feel like swingin' by.

[It's a little messy, but all the red makes it homier.]

I'm tryin' to collect people together for safety. You think you'll be all right by yourself, or are you gonna need help?

I... I think I'll be okay... If there are any monsters I'll use my magic. But is everyone meeting somewhere?

Perhaps this is a good time to start my training, Dean. I looked at what you sent me. I think I'm ready to start.

Aw, would YOU like to be murdered, too? Or is this just an order for scaring? dashboardlite October 29 2011, 19:58:03 UTC
