Jewish Identity/Jewish Politics is tedious, but ultimately rewarding. I had a different prof, but grading was HARSH. It's the class I did worst in thus far. I really did learn a lot, though, so it was well worth it.

ehh should i try to wait to take Jewish Politics class? i mean so that i don't start off my first semester with such a rough class? i get really turned off from a subject when i try hard but don't think my grades are fairly reflecting that.. so i might not get everything out of it. plus, i'm not exactly going to be one of the top-notch students at vassar. i'm probably going to be in trouble because i'm a slacker and have little attention span. oh well.
thanks for the input!

It might not be a bad idea to wait on Jewish Id/Pol. Your class will probably be significantly different from mine, though, because you have different professors and it's team-taught. So grading will probably be different. If you're interested in going further with it (I wasn't, not really) then taking it early is generally better.
Anyway, first semester freshman year, your grades are probably going to be lower than you want and then you'll rebound. It happened to a lot of people.
