Well, that's that I guess.

I didn't really hold out much hope that the "justice" system would actually dispense justice. I have very little faith in the legal system in this country. People often remind me that it could be worse elsewhere and while this "is" true it could also be better elsewhere (which most people deny vehemently).

Their trial and sentence are a travesty, but sadly its one travesty among thousands just as bad if not worse. No one wants to admit they could be wrong on that level as it could undermine the whole justice system in their eyes.

This is total crap. I hope they some how get free.

They had EVERYTHING against them... once Judge Burnett was once again involved. He built his political carreer on this case... it makes sense that he's be biased. They should remove him from the docket and start over... perhaps THEN, they'd have a fair shot at getting released.

I have a big problem with the phrase "proof of actual innocence", considering that they were never proven guilty in the eyes of any sensible human being in the first place. For god's sake even if they DID do it, which is highly unlikely, they should never have been convicted by the evidence presented.

Yeah, too many people made their careers on this case to bail out now.

goddamn this pisses me off. There was no "conclusive" evidence that they were guilty, only circumstantial. I've got a boatload of Manson CDs and Crowley books, I guess that means I should hide from the cops.

I'm more curious as to when we're going to build a small militia to go and get those boys out.
