* At times, I do honestly want a compilation of 1980's music, though I know full well that the best music of the '80's was '60's music. I guess you could blame that on my constant exposure to oldies radio, like the WGMM I remember (97.7, not the now '80's-based 98.7). The Monkees reruns on Nickelodeon are equally to blame, I'm sure. So, last night I found a bunch of my old CD-ROMs from college (the ones I burnt using the school's MAC computers and thereby made them unreadable by Windows PCs) and I loaded them into my new macbook and found a digitized version of "Things That Ring" that I must have made using the school computers at some point. Anywho, I'm going to edit it down to under 10 minutes and toss it up on YouTube. It looks like crap but that's somewhat fitting for the style of the piece. Didn't you edit it down to 9 minutes at one point? What parts did you cut out?

LOL...I've never attempted a short edit of Things That Ring. I'm going to take another crack at a proper DVD of it (with raw footage), now that I can finally get a decent capture from VHS. (Retro Man will prolly be first though.) You could easily remove the credits. Any other edits you make would be fine. I trust you. Probably could shorten or excise the second beckoning at the end. Maybe I'll post "Other Things" on YouTube sometime (in two parts, naturally).

I thought about just splitting "Things That Ring" but it just doesn't seem to warrant that much space on the internet. I'm not looking forward to editing it because it means I'll have to re-edit the soundtrack too. The second beckoning is totally way too long. I'll see what I can do if I don't just get sick of looking at it.
