Boost? Why boost? Aren't they like, really crappy?
With a cell phone yr either going to get awesome reception or yr going to get it inexpensive. You can't have it both ways, so I'd say decide what is more important.
With that said, I've been with tmobile since it was voicestream, and have only started having reception problems since I started using a smartphone. Never had a problem with the bottom of the line nokias. They're pretty reasonably priced. But if yr looking for really great reception I'd say go with verizon.
Verizon DOES have the best reception... but I would test reception in my home if I were anyone. I had Verizon and couldn't get reception in my own bedroom... so I would ask people to try calling me from my bedroom to see if their plan got better reception than mine did... it turns out they ALL got better reception in my bedroom than verizon. Invite people with various plans to your house and have them make calls from your house. I have T-Mobile now and have a smart phone and pay like $65 a month for unlimited data and BASIC minutes plan.
Boost because they offer reasonable flatrate unlimited for what I used to pay for Sprint. I don't mind spending a lot on the phone itself if the network is OK. I don't know if Boosts network is the shit or shit. That's why I'm asking. I know their advertising campaign is ghetto, but I don't know if their network is. I know people in my area who used to have shit T-Mobile reception, but that was years ago, so who knows? I started on Verizon years ago and that was troublesome, but maybe it's better now too.
I'm already spending in the triple digits for what I believe is crap service. I already hate the obligation of having a phone, and I just want to stop having my wallet raped for that obligation. Of course if the phone/network don't work that's worse.
I left Sprint shortly after moving ot here. I went with Cingular, which was then bought out by ATT. I have not had any problems with them and I even just re-upped for another two years with them. It's funny, because my SIM chip is still the Cingular one, and my belt clip still have th logo on it, too.
