look, i know it's been a difficult 8 years.   most of us were rudely awakened from complacency and then slapped in the face again when Kerry lost.  but there is no point to all this hand wringing and looking for signs of failure and disaster.  ooh a mistake here, and one there... Mccain, Palin, big bad scary with big bad scary troglodyte supporters
