I'm not "tagged", but me too. I favor the weird ones. I have a ca. 1890 Brescian type (four gut strings tuned as you'd expect). My oldest original dates to ca. 1835 and is strung following the Parisian methods of the late 1700s. I have a 2004-made reproduction of a 1736 original; the baroque type was more lute-like with a fixed bridge, gut strings, and tuned mostly or wholly in 4ths.
