[Anyone who goes near the Temple may well 'hear' the reverberating voice of the Guardian raised in song.]

O come, thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight.

[It turns to a low, throbbing hum at the chorus ( Read more... )

[Silently North walks into the temple, drawn in by the song. It feels warm in there, even though it's not. Something about candlelight had that effect.

He didn't say anything to the Guardian but he was definitely watching him, his single eye fixed on the man's movements.]

Hello, North.

[The Guardian doesn't turn. He simply cups the flame in his hand and turns to light the candles mounted on the wall.]

How have you been?

Well looked after. [He answered, not really surprised that the Guardian had heard him despite his not saying a word.] How are you doing 'Dian?

[The Guardian smiles, blows out the flame, and turns to face North the guy, not the direction.]

Better than I have been. Forgive my absence, but I am prone to sickness these days.

[ Ahiru just happened to be near the temple on a small walk (not too far out, those Fae were pretty scary after all) when she hears the singing. It's.. sort of pretty, if not interesting at the very least.

Due to child-like curiosity she peeks her head into the temple to see what's going on. ]

The Temple doors are always open to those of Demeleier.

[The Guardian turns, cupping the flame he was using to light the candles in his hands. He smiles at Ahiru.]

What do you seek?

[ The speed at which her whole face turns red should be a record. ]

A-a-ah! Um, um.. I just.. followed the singing! I-I'm sorry!

[He gives a soft laugh.]

There is nothing to apologize for.

[Miku has long since decided she's had her fill of strange songs from strange people, but this seems different somehow. It's not like the haunting Handmaiden's Song that she would often hear in the Manor of Sleep. That 'lullaby' was much more dismal, foreboding.

This isn't dismal at all, to her surprise. It's actually kind of nice.]

You have a pleasant voice.

[The Guardian lights another candle before he gently presses his hands together and squashes the flame. He turns and inclines his head to Miku, smilingly faintly.]

Many thanks, though few would refer to this as a voice.

Do you see my lips moving?

[Upon returning from a minor trip to collect skins, the orc finds himself drawn to the singing flowing out of the temple. He approaches cautiously, with one hand resting on his mace.]

An old tradition, perhaps?

No, I am afraid off. [He turns, gives Garnath a small smile, and inclines his head.] Simply an old song that I am partial to.

[ Zelda enters through the Temple doors, intent on her daily prayer, when a beautiful, warm voice blooms in her mind. ]

You've a beautiful voice, My Lord. [ Though the Guardian stands across the other side of the chamber, Zelda suspects that he can probably hear her perfectly well. ]

So many compliments for this non-voice. My lady, I am flattered.

They are well deserved, however it is that you are conveying such music.
