[A rustling, slithering sound - chains being dragged over a stone floor - can be heard. It is accompanied by heavy, laboured breathing. Soft footfalls can be heard, and after maybe twenty of them, there is a louder, pained sigh, and then a scraping rasp and the rusty clatter of chains coiling ( Read more... )

[ ... It's too much to be a coincidence. Almost right after this pops up, that crystal she has been carrying with her all this time started glowing on and off - almost as if it were pulsing or something like that. She isn't sure what it's supposed to mean, but it's not like she specifically wants to bring up the crystal to the Guardian. Nobody can take what's hers, after all, and he might want it otherwise. ]

[ So she pretends to be pretty casual when she speaks up. ]

So you're saying we don't even get subtitles?

[There's a faint smile hovering around the Guardian's lips, and then, as if just to be extra irritating, he says:]

Manche Nebelflecken löset kein Auge auf.

[He is not aware of the crystal Kyouko is holding, or if he is, he makes no sign of it.]

((OOC: "There is mist that no eye can dispel"))

[ It's good either way that there's no sign of it - it means that Kyouko is a bit more relieved as she just casually continues on. She rolls her eyes slightly at his trolling attempt. ]

Very funny. You know what I meant, right? Do I look like I speak.. whatever that was?

[The Guardian looks at him with his dark eyes unblinking, then he closes them and dips his head.]

Gaelic.

[So it is him, that Guardian he has heard of so many times.] Gaelic. I am not surprised to hear it coming from you, a creature of this world.

Of this world?

[The Guardian's words, not heard but understood nonetheless, carry a pained edge, but also one of slight amusement.]

You didn't seem to understand the Gaelic.

This world we are prisoners of, the Fae Land, Demeleier. [Sebastian waves his hand, like to put the subject away and offers one of his very few true smiles to the man. He is not impressed by the Guardian but interested, yes.]

And how can you tell if I understood or not ?

Perhaps you understood the language. Your response implies you did not understand the words.

[Saki's fingers tap against the table's blunt surface, hand supporting her chin as she regards the Guardian on the communicator's screen with relative disinterest. Finally:]

You're weird.

To think I was once a womanizer, too.

[Listening curiously. That is one of the languages he's familiar with, as he's watched people often and long ago where it was spoken.]

...it reminds me of humans, but I'm not sure if they would think so.

Only of humans? It reminds me of every creature trapped here.

Ah. Here is different... but, I don't feel trapped. I know one day I will return to my world.

In mine, though, human lives are short. Our kind are long-lived, even if we die. I sometimes watch the same place for hundreds of years. Or I come back, and the humans are all different. They don't even remember the ones I saw before.

You seem so certain of that. I wouldn't test the will of the fae.

[He listens to the rest, though, and nods.] That is the way of their kind.
