okay first about type advantages! there is this weird system of advantage and disadvantages here. some of them are pretty obvious like fire beats grass beats water but then you have ones that make no sense like dark beats psychic! psychic beats fighting!

(i always wondered if they were tryin to say something about, like, it's more important to be mentally strong than physically strong in which case i'm screwed oops)

and then there are types that i don't really understand why they exist. like dark type or steel type. i dunno why steel exactly, 'cause wouldn't metal make more sense? i guess it's another weird jo

but anyway yeah type advantages don't really make sense half the time and then you have duel(sp??)-type pokémon that make it even more complicated

so what you end up having to do is memorizing what types the main pokémon in your roster are strong and weak against and just kinda rolling with that

or at least that's what i do idk what other people do
