in addition to getting no sleep last night, I now have to endure overhearing a conversation based around the fact that my boss has never heard of the word 'syllabus'. never. ever. She didn't believe that it was an actual part of the english language, and she is now referring to it as a 'college word'. ar taert aert aert ar ar aert rgfh gh

seriosuly. this woman is the head of my department. and she has only stumbled upon the word 'syllabus' due to the fact that her daughter just started college. i think the most mindblowing part is that she seemed proud that her daughter was using 'college words'. FUCK.

this is also the same woman who, for some reason, drops the letter 'R' from various words. Therefore, 'frustrated' becomes 'fustrated', and so on, etc

wait but didn't she ever get a syllabus in highschool? and like, how can you never come across that word even if you don't go to college?

ok, more backstory on this woman....she has a severe issue with picking out her wedgies in public, as well as regaling us with stories about her daughters personal life. These stories include graphic descriptions about her daughters brazilian waxes (she has personally inspected the handiwork), and the fact that her daughter asks her questions such as 'Mom, whats worse? A guy going down on me or me going down on a guy?'.
this woman makes my head hurt.
