Question for all you fine folks...

My sister is getting married in May. I am the maid of honor. Exactly what duties do I have? My other sister thinks I have to throw a bridal shower sometime, is this true? This is the first wedding I have been in, so I am pretty much clueless. Any helpful info?

I would say talk to the bride-to-be and see what she wants. I didn't have any attendants but I had friends that pitched in for all of the attendant roles.
