I've been gone all week because my grandmother passed away. We laid her to rest at her birthplace on a small ranch outside of Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico. I'm not a religious person, but I was very moved by what the priest said: this is the end of an era, but we must not let the memory of her die. This is a celebration of life

God how I miss Matamoros. I should be going either next month or in July. Depending on when I can get down there. All I know is that I have to have some tacos de tripa and some pastor! Yummy!

So I'm going to be in San Antonio this weekend for Fiesta. Are you planning on getting out there at all?
